Military Tribunals

Civil Court: cases about contracts, damage to property, divorce, etc.

Criminal Court: murder, robbery, assault, etc.

But, that is not the whole of the American court system.

There is a third type of court with which most Americans never have contact, Military Court.

Also a Court of Impeachment.

American justice should give Khalid Sheikh Mohammed et. al. a fair trail, but not in a criminal court. He is not an accused criminal; he is a solider who attacked the United States. As such, the proper place for him to meet justice is in a Military Court.

Although commonly referred to as the Nuremberg Trials, they were actually a series of Military Tribunals. We did not seek to bring the Nazis to the United States and try them in Criminal Court.

Pakistan's nuclear facilities Attacked

According to the Times of India:

Pakistan's nuclear facilities have already been attacked at least thrice by its home-grown extremists and terrorists in little reported incidents over the last two years, even as the world remains divided over the safety and security of the nuclear weapons in the troubled country, according to western analysts.

The incidents, tracked by Shaun Gregory, a professor at Bradford University in UK, include an attack on the nuclear missile storage facility at Sargodha on November 1, 2007, an attack on Pakistan's nuclear airbase at Kamra by a suicide bomber on December 10, 2007, and perhaps most significantly the August 20, 2008 attack when Pakistani Taliban suicide bombers blew up several entry points to one of the armament complexes at the Wah cantonment, considered one of Pakistan's main nuclear weapons assembly.

This is certainly an under reported story in the USA and a very, very scary scenario. It is one of the nightmares facing the USA, the West, Israel, India and others.

Too bad we no longer have a war on terrorism to fight it.

Relationship Challenged Organizations (RCOs)

Our new CEO wants to rebrand his country so it appeals to a broader audience. Thus, we find the use of the phrase, (slogan if you wish) “war on terror” on the outs; I would like to suggest one more appropriate for a liberal government: Relationship Challenged Organizations, RCOs for short.

As with pornography, we may not be able to define RCOs, but we know them when we see them. Here are a few key indicators:

  1. Does the organization seek to kill innocent Americas?
  2. Does it seek to wipe America, Israel, or anyone else off the face of the Earth?
  3. In the past has the organization attacked or sought to attach the U.S.A.?
  4. Does the organization capture and/or execute innocent civilians (of any nationally)?
  5. Does the organization use suicide bombers?

No doubt you could add more.

I think we need President Obama to appoint a cabinet-level czar to identify and oversee the RCOs.

It would be good to have a list of the Relationship Challenged Organizations.
